A workable studio comes down to a few fundamentals: light, a steady surface, and organization. A corner near a window is often enough to begin.

Natural light is ideal; a daylight-balanced lamp fills in when it fades. A sturdy easel or a table you can work flat on gives you options, and a rolling cart or tiered organizer keeps paints and brushes within reach.

Protect your surfaces, keep water and solvents contained, and give finished pieces a safe place to dry. A tidy setup makes it far easier to sit down and create.
